About Richard Newland

Dr Richard Newland studied medicine at Cambridge University and completed his medical training at St Mary’s Hospital, London. He practised as a GP for 25 years, combining general practice with his interest in the development of bespoke health services.

His work has included establishing and extensively developing CHS Healthcare, a service conceived on the principle of providing personalised support for families making choices about long term care. Dr Newland is also the founder of a child and adolescent eating disorders service which has grown to become the second largest in England and has twice been rated outstanding by the Care Quality Commission. He is committed to developing high quality, personalised services which connect people to the care and support they need.
